Elliot is a professional freelance web developer living and working in Cumbria.
Originally from Barrow-in-Furness, a small ship-building town in Cumbria; he moved to London in August 2007.
At 14 years old Elliot started a small website for fans of the game ‘counter-strike’. For several years the site grew, allowing him to learn more innovative and cutting-edge development practices.
‘Counter Strike DL‘ grew to become one of the largest CS communities online with thousands of members, and millions of visitors. Elliot sold CSDL in June 2007.
Elliot started his career as a full-time web developer at the age of 19 working for a small web-development company in his home town, working for household brand names on exciting new projects such as online communities, insurance quote systems, and e-commerce systems.
In 2006 Elliot discovered the ‘CodeIgniter PHP Framework‘ and instantly became a huge fan of its DRY-MVC-OO-MATYCSASA (More Acronyms Than You Can Shake A Stick At) – sleek, efficient, and (worryingly) sexy coding practices.
A Mac is always the machine of choice, since it’s got the best of both worlds – a stable unix core, and a damn nice interface… both of which just seem way to distant in a windows machine.

And now?
After living and working in London for 18 months, Elliot has moved to Aberdeen to study for a BSc in Computing Science whilst freelancing.
When he’s not working, Elliot tends to spend most of his spare time in a bed, on a bed, or near a bed. Some other activities he enjoys (preferably whilst in bed) are: playing guitar, watching films, geeking around the net, and drinking far too much coffee (or wine).
