It’s always good to get publicity
Hey guys, this isn’t exactly a normal blog post, I just wanted to encourage you to get in touch with your local newspapers, and try to drive up some publicity for yourself.
My local newspaper is the ‘North West Evening Mail‘, a few weeks ago I was chatting with Nick, someone who works for the company that owns my local newspaper. He was in charge of digital content, and was quite interested to do a feature on me.
Local publicity is always good to have, it gets your name out there, and if you’re pitching for freelance work locally, it can make a big difference. So, here’s something for you to do this week: get in touch with your local newspaper, and have a chat to them about what you do and why it’s interesting. Who knows, you might get some free publicity!
